Our Story

Planting Jays is named after the fact that Jays are responsible for caching up to 5000 acorns each year and forgetting where it hides around a quarter which helps inadvertently plant thousands of oaks, so its fitting that we too try and create a little bit more nature.

Having worked in the conservation industry on a biodiversity project at Ewhurst Park and a more commercial farming role, Moor jays was created in an effort to achieve what truly inspires me and that is helping nature on a wide scale from gardens to farms. If everyone cared a little more for nature we could make a big difference so I want to promote that ethos and make a difference. I am 25 and extremely passionate about all things nature, with a strong willingness to learn, develop and pursue a greener future.

Based in the Teign Valley in Devon we are on the edge of Dartmoor and Exeter with rolling arable fields one side and steep valley hills the other it is ever apparent that nature needs a helping hand and managing the wonderful countryside with nature in mind, We can provide the tools and knowledge to improve the landscape together.
